Do Everlast Elite boxing shoes have good traction?

The Everlast Elite boxing shoes boast a rubber Michelin tire tread on the bottom sole, which is not only great for durability but also offers excellent traction. This design ensures that users have a firm grip, especially when they’re in the ring, allowing them to pivot and use footwork effectively.

A standout feature of these boxing shoes is the collaboration with tire giant Michelin for the sole grip. This partnership ensures unparalleled durability, promising that these shoes will stand the test of time. However, if you’re someone who prefers being light on their feet, these might not be the best fit, as the sole and midsole are definitely some of the heaviest I’ve seen on boxing shoes. While Everlast markets them as lightweight, there’s a noticeable difference when compared to shoes like the Nike HyperKO series or Adidas Hog 3s.

Are the Everlast Elite boxing shoes comfortable?

At first glance, these shoes might come off as bulky, and if you’re in the market for lightweight boots, these might not be your first choice. However, once you slip them on, you’ll quickly realize that they feel like a running shoe. The weight is noticeable, but it’s counterbalanced by the exceptional ankle support, grip, and overall comfort, making your feet feel snug and secure. Note, this shoe is one of the best for boxing with flat feet. One of the standout features of these shoes is the blend of cushioning and precision the Everlast Elite boxing shoes offer. Unlike some boxing shoes that come with a thin sole, making high-impact training uncomfortable, the Everlast Elite shoes provide a good amount of cushioning. This ensures that users can engage in activities like box jumps and footwork drills without experiencing discomfort. Additionally, the open mesh cell upper design ensures breathability, keeping the feet cool during intense training sessions (PS I think it’s amazing that these shoes don’t have unnecessary plastic pieces that end up conducting a lot of heat or lead to pressure on the foot.

How do the Everlast Elite boxing shoes fit? Do they run small / large / true to size?

The Everlast Elite boxing shoes come in full sizes only, which might be a drawback for those who wear half sizes. For those with wider feet, it’s recommended to go up half or even a full size size (I went one size up and they fit perfectly). For instance, if you wear a size 10.5, opting for size 11 would be the right fit if you have slightly wide feet. If you have extra wide feet, then go one two sizes up. On the other hand, if you have normal to narrow feet, sticking to the lower end might be the best choice. Once laced up, the shoes offer a snug fit, especially around the heel and ankle, ensuring that the foot is locked in securely.

Are the Everlast Elite boxing shoes Durable?

The quality and construction of the Everlast Elite boxing shoes are top-notch. The use of the Michelin tire tread on the sole ensures longevity, while build (from sole, to midsole, to mesh material) feels like a premium production shoe, comparable to what one might expect from boxing shoes by brands like Nike or Reebok. There’s no evident loose stitching, and the lace loops are securely stitched on, with top-notch  attention to detail and durability.
